Whirlwind on our Life

Well, sooo much has transpired since my last post. The oilfield here locally and surrounding areas is dead. So, my hubby was put back in the field after having an office job for the last 5 years or so...

We have tried to handle this the best we can, but it has been very hard. Having 4 kiddos and a hubby gone out of town makes things hard. Especially when one is a teen and 2 are pre-teens and they are GIRLS!

So, anyhow we ended up having an exspensive alarm put on the house, so my Mother can hear if someone breaks LOL... but seriously, I DO feel safer knowing that the cops will be at my house in less than 2 minutes should anything arise that is out of the norm.

My best friends husband will be headed to Pennsylvania, and many others we know. Supposedly it is booming up there? I am just grateful and my husband too, that we still have a job with income coming in. So many families have lost everything they owned and are still struggling and starting over. I cannot imagine the stress.

I thank God daily... That there is a reason for everything and even though it is hard, it could be so much worse and we do feel so extremely blessed!

Also, another note that is sooooooooo incredibly great news! My cousin, Julie is back in Odessa! And she has given her life back to the Lord.. she went away for a while, and now she's decided to let God take control... Im am so happy for her and my My aunt and everyone loves her sooo much! WE have missed her, and we are so happy she is back.

Prayers needed for Megan, her daughter, my little cousin.. but I know my God and He wont let us down....

Well, peoples friends and family members if your reading this, LOL which I dont know that anyone is.. ha ha Have a Great Memorial Weekend!!

Poor Baby boy! I swear... I called the Dr. today, and there is really nothing we can do... this refered pain, in his ears due to his throat, there is only Tylenol... and we've already been doing this for the past week, and still we've have lost nearly 10lbs!! This poor baby, even swallowing liquid... this has been absolutely pitiful! Anyhow, if youre reading please, say a little prayer for Teagen...

Yucky Tonsils!

Well, its been 5 days since Teagen had his tonsils out and he seems worse than the 1st day!

He woke up complaining of his ears hurting, Im sure this is all part of it, but I cant hardly stand seeing my baby boy crcying and waking up through the night in pain.. If this doesnt subside soon, we may be making a trip to the Dr. Yesterday he had one large milkshake and a small amount of runny mashed potatoes. Not enough to feed a bird.. He looks a little pewny, and just isnt himself 100% yet.. He has been having Mommy watch Disney movie after Disney movie daily, Bolt I believe 6x's or more now.. but I dont care. We've played go fish, crazy 8's, and old maid as well. I think I may take him outside in the backyard tomorrow, it's a little cool here today. 55 degrees.. He needs some sunlight poor thing.. big circles under his big brown eyes..

Anyhow, I thought during this time I would get to organize and work around the house, but I dont think that is going to happen. I managed to sneak up here to make a few phone calls, check facebook, update my status and blog a bit, but I know he will realize shortly Im not downstairs..

Well, that's all this week, Im sure we will be feeling the pain from this surgery for the next week still.. wow, I had no idea it would take such a toll on this little fella'

I sure hope it will be worth this in the long run, it better be!! I want to see my kiddo's smiling face like when we picked out icecream before surgery...

KNOWING with Nicolas Cage... what I believe..

Knowing with Nicolas Cage is an awesome thriller, suspense filled makes you jump ou tof your seat a couple times... but the ending I think will be precieved 2 different ways... I choose and I believe it symbolizes the end of times in the Bible..

7:21 "Not everyone who calls out to me, 'Lord! Lord!' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.

This is exactly what I heard not in exact words, but at the end when the son, is being lead by these "celestial beings" or I as I saw them "angels" clearly those are wings on their backs.. are taking him and the other little girl, both of which are the "chosen", he asks his Dad, why are they saying this, no, no, I wont go without you.... Nicolas cage says what are they saying? He says to his Dad, they say only the chosen can come, only those who hear their calling...

In several moments of this movie without pointing out obviously, they are refering back to the Bible and the biblical explanation of what happens in the "end times". I was very impressed, also realizing that some will say that these were aliens, taking the "chosen" to live on another planet, I disagree, because in the end it shows the "tree of life"... while the earth is then destroyed by fire... it shows I believe the new earth...

I think those who do not have any type of religious background might very well be confused, but for those who do, we will all appreciate use of biblical faith and knowledge in the end of the movie.. it no matter what definitley have you re-thinking your walk of life.

Wowsers! Life is just Flying by..........

I just now had a chance to sit down, log in tweek a few things on my page and take a breath... Life is like the song that Kenny Chesney sings "Living in Fast Forward"... I feel like this right now.. the girls have been home 1 night this whole week, and are staying at my Mom's tonight...

Not that Im complaining, but we have been ping-ponging all over this entire Spring Break.. I have not scrapped in well over a month, and it doesnt look like anytime soon either...

Plus, being out of our home for over 2 months because a drunk driver carelessly drove through our front living area, messed our lives up, dis organized us, and we're still trying to get back from that... I will post pics...some time later

My youngest is having a tonsilectomy this coming Friday, and we will be out of school a full 6 days re-cooping, which means I will miss work as well. So, we've been hunting down pj's and houseshoes, and discussing what ice cream to buy because as you know that is the most important part for the six year old... ha ha!

So, my next venture once I get everyone well, and school close to being finished is to build and create my scrap area! Yay! I cant wait....

Hopefully I can get on here more often to update, Im sure those who used to peek in on myblog have now quit but I hope you'll start again... :)

This is exactly what has happened just recently and in a big way...... I am so grateful to God above for coming in and helping us , to make our decision in buying our new home. We were so confused since we have never purchased one. But, even though it wasnt immediate help, He made sure we knew the right decision to make...

I just have to share, how amazing our Lord and savior is...... from the small situations , to the larger ones... He is always there for us.. even when we dont realize it.

Well, still havent heard back from my oldest brother Scott, but Im literally having a melt down because my computer decided to "die" and take my last 6 years of photos with it....... He has a friend in a town not too far from here, who supposedly ( I pray and I hope) is a computer genuis, and thinks he can salvage my pics.......... Oh please, Lord , please... My photos are everything... especially with me being a scrapbooker!! So, all my fellow scrapbook pals, please send a prayer up to God, and ask Him to please save my last 6 years of photos.........

WE'RE buying a HOUSE!!!!!!!!!

I tink we've finally found the path we were supposed to take after months of prayer and endless discussions about moving, we are staying in our hometown, but we are moving into a new home!
We've wanted to move for quite sometime, and never had the right opportunity housewise. Plus, we live on parents land and they do not want just any ol' anybodyliving on their land as their neighbors. So....................... when the opportunity arose for us, and some longtime friends, that as are well friends of my Mom and Step-dad, we all jumped on it. They are wanting what we have and we were looking to move, so it feels as if it is perfect!

With God's blessing we will continue to move forward and have faith in what He wants for us......

I hope to have pictures soon!

Powerful Words to Live By

Ive always meant to read it, honest Ihave... but life has just gotten in the way... Until now.
My Dad is a child of God...... Someone I can go to when I need help, or need answers... When I say help, I dont mean financially. Although if desperate enough Im sure he would. He gave me a gift several years back.... and it got tossed aside as so many gifts do, stuck up in the top of the closet, or put on a shelf... Anyhow, over the past few weeks, we have been packing, for the unknown. Literally. We know we have the job, and we know we're moving, but we're not exactly sure of all the details. Anyhow, it's bothered me all this time, and even though, I have putmy trust in my husbands words and started packing, making arrangments for cable and all that to be turned off etc... I am packing, and Im come across a book... that I promise I started to read, and somehow... it just got put down, and possibly forgotten about.. But, with all the packing, and no TV and no scrapping... I decided to not pack this book, and start reading. Im sure you have heard of it, it's called "The Purpose Driven Life". I think it's the best thing I couldve done .... cause in this time, through all this stress of the unknown and words of non-encouragment from different people about this move, I really needed to know what we were doing was for the best. So, Im reading every night before I go to bed, it helps me wind down and get sleepy, and every night Im taking away some great insight to my life and why Im here and all that... But, tonight.... Im reading and it hits me like an arrow hitting an apple off of a servants head.... In plain black and white... two simple , yet powerful sentences. " Don't Worry. If you choose to live for God, He will give you what you need". And that was it....... that was what Ive been needing to hear. Wow... If I just quit worrying and just live for Him, it will all fall in place. It's really simple if you think about it... isnt it? And Im sure Ive known this all along, but I think, no... I know ... I needed a gentle reminder that Im not here for myself.... Im here because he chose for me to be.... Im here for God. It will all work out.... It will all be ok. No matter the situtation. I need to just live for Him and rely on the simple truth... He is in control.

ALL THINGS HAPPEN AS HE DECIDED..............

This may sound crazy to you, and it may just be a little odd, but I firmly believe in God with all my heart and soul......... ( thats not the crazy part lol) All my life, anytime almost 90% of the time I look at a clock..... it's 1:11 or its 11:11 and although you look at a clock daily , several times, for some reason I would "stop" and just think 1:11 I wonder if God was trying to tell me something. I know crazy right? Well, not to me.... We're going through a time in our life right now, and I just feel I need assurace from God that things will be ok, and oddly enough today I read my daily verse, at the same time someone interested in our house were trying to sell, calls me and this verse shows up and just summed it all up for me..... All things happen just as he decided long ago....... In other words, no matter how worried, or how hard to try to make something happen, it isnt in your hands. So, I take this as this ordeal, the new job , the new location all this that has been filling us with worry etc.. God said "stop" dont worry cause what will be will be..... So, I guess today for the 1st time, Im going to stop worrying about selling this house... stop stressing that things arent going to go well... stop thinking negatively... Im going to let it all happen because it was already planned for me by God, and I need to just live it. Live through the life he planned for me.... ( excerpt from Purpose Driven Life) -----Jesus did not die on the cross just so we could live comfortable, well-adjusted lives. His purpose is far deeper: he wants to make us like himself before he takes us to heaven. This is our greatest privilege, our immediate responsibility, and our ultimate destiny.

WOW! I feel better already, like a ton of bricks were lifted.

Of course I am a woman, though.. and Im sure I will find some other thing to worry about now..

But at least I'll try not to..............

Ok, this is what I feel right now........... Joe's job is fixing to change, and things arent 100% crystal clear for me, and Im not exactly liking that. So, I have decided to quite worrying, and just let God handle all the stress for me.....

People are upset, crying, mad... yet others are happy think this is an awesome opportunity for us... I know that God doesnt give you more than you can handle, and I firmly believe we each have a path set for us by HIM.........

Trusting God completely means having faith that God knows what is best for your life. You expect him to keep his promises, help you with problems, and do the impossible when necessary.

If you get about 5 seconds today say a quick little prayer for us... that God's will be done in this job changing decision.....

Being tested

Well, the new blood work will now determine, why Im losing my taste buds randomly.......

and only the "sweet" taste here lately. Weird, I know....? Anyhow they are testing me for a "metabolic disorder"....... Which one you ask? I havent a clue, and WHY you say? Well,
there are only 1,000's of metabolic disorders...........

You know what really freaked me out, the fact that he said people that have menegintis (sp?) or a brain tumor have these symptoms....... YUCK!

I have faith in My Lord Jesus above....... it wont be........ probably some weird fluke.. knowing me..... Seriously.... I have weird things happen all the time......

Could it be LUPUS?

A rash that didnt go away for about a week or so, and now I have a "scaley"residue left behind on my skin.... Allergist says "NO" to hives, and he would be highly concerned about an autoimmune disease... if you have any answers or opinions I would love to hear them...

My symptoms as of now include:

Headaches; Migraines

Extreme fatigue ( feel as if I cannot hold the phone to my ear or blow dry my hair)

Vertigo

Muscle weakness (legs and arms feel like spaghetti)

Insomnia

heart palpitations

My insides hurt around my rib cage boths sides

If I take a deep breath I feel pain

Sun Sensitivity ( instant headache, swelling in areas touched by sun)

Wake up with swollen hands fingers and face, like my eyes swelled

I feel disoriented at times, like I cannot think straight, and I tend to have blurred visions at these times.

low iron levels off and on, anemia more than not.

Stiff every morning, cant bend my neck down at all.

Extreme Reflux

Hair Loss

Fluid retention in both ankles and calves of legs

I know alot to absorb, it is for me too, and especially when no one can tell what for, or why I am having these symptoms.....

For some days now Ive been skeptical about certian things in my life, and God does hear that because I woke up and recieved this message in my email box about "risks"..... It re-assured me, that even though it might be scary at 1st, sometimes you just need to let God guide you, He will pull you through.......

If God tells you to do something, he will give you the energy, talent, resources – whatever you need – to do it. Where God guides, he provides.
In 1979, I was finishing seminary in Texas when God said, “I want you to go to the Saddleback Valley and start a church.” There were two problems with that: I had never been a senior pastor, and I didn’t know anything about the Saddleback Valley; I’d never been there, and I didn’t know a single person there.
But my wife, Kay, and I decided to take a risk and launch out in faith. We loaded a U-Haul truck and moved with our four-month-old daughter to the Saddleback Valley.
We arrived during rush hour in January, 1980. I grew up in a town of fewer than 500 people, so when I saw the jam-packed freeway, I thought God had chosen the wrong guy.
But where God guides, God provides. We stopped at a real estate office and I met Don Dale. I said, “My name is Rick Warren and I'm here to start a new church. I need a place to live and I don’t have any money.”
Within two hours, Don found us a condo with the first month rent-free. Don also became the first member of Saddleback Church. Saddleback’s first service was in our home with just seven people – my family and Don’s family.
God began bringing others to join us in planting a church. And in April of 1980, 205 people streamed up the ramp at Laguna Hills High School for our first public worship service. It was amazing. I thought, “God! You have provided! This is the place we’re supposed to be.”
Kay and I believed in the dream and the vision that God gave us for the Saddleback Valley, and we followed that dream, even when it involved risks. If you’re going to live by faith, you’re going to have to take some risks. In some situations, you’ll wonder if God is going to come through. But keep believing – because where God guides, God provides.

My youngest ds, ever since I can remember has wanted to "throw da ball Daddy" and so it goes, that ever since he touched a football, he's been playing... Funny how things happen, and it's all for fun, we're not the competitive type parents screaming when something is done wrong. We look at this as a positive experience for motor skills and learning how to work as a team. Anyhow, he's decided he wants to try baseball ( T-ball) so this ought to be lots of fun!! Tee-Hee!

"Simple Style" always classic and clean

Tonight, I wanted to be "un-cluttered" so, I went "clean" and "classic" simple and elegant..... Cute and still gets my point across... LOL what else? I had a blast it took me less than 30 minutes to do this layout!!! Now that's AWESOME!! No stress, just laid back fun!!

This is the AC Kids line, cute cute colors, and the neatest plastic embellies!! Look at those cute lil' hands!! Love um!! Hope you like this, and Im sure you can all relate being a "Mama", youre always concerned for your child's safety.. of course, Look both ways before you cross, wash your hands , and so many more.. Mine in this case is "Hold tight Both Hands" I have a fear of any of my kids falling off when on a ride of sorts... It's just the mama in me!!

These pictures, make me laugh and tug on my heart just a little bit.
My son, thought he would give our new wooden table some decorating, by signing his name on the bottom of the table. We didn't even have to say anything to him, he knew what he had done wasn't nice, and instantly started crying. I know it may seem weird to take photos, but moments like this I want to remember, and I want him to see as well when he gets older and has kiddos of his own. I'll say "See what you did when you were little?"

I just rushed through , and slapped this together so I could share my kiddos.... School pictures, not always a favorite with me, they seem so stiff ........... anyhow... Here are my 3 youngest kiddos, all in elementary school...... kinder, 4th and 5th grades. They love school, and do very well at it... we're in tap,jazz,ballet and violin, choir etc... it's an excellent school.

Geesh, calgon pluh-eeese take me away......... away from all the sickies!! We cant seem to all get on the same page in this house.... now my oldest dd and my hubby are sick...........
Im so tired of this....... and let me tell you , cleaning 24/7 and spraying Lysol hasnt seemed to help this... they both say that it kinda feels like the flu.... so I wonder????

Anyhow, I am so ready for this to all just go away , I cant stand when people are not feeling well... I feel so bad, and I cant take away their misery.....

Hopefully by this weekend we will be back to normal, we have a small road trip!!

Here is my post at BB for my fellow DT members, who have stuck by me through this insane health issues over the past several weeks.. Im grateful to God above what I have is treatable!!

Hey girls, Im Baaaaaack!! I got my results and although I do have a slight problem, it's not life threatning, ( Thank God) and Im on some meds to help with the pains... I feel so much better, now I can get my life back!! I told Heather today, I am so grateful for her support and all the encouraging phone calls, where she listened to me complain ,and whine... I MISSED ALL OF YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!! I was worried to jump in on the band wagon, without knowing for sure what was going on, in case it was bad.. ITS NOT so here I am!!! I am so extremely GRATEFUL for ALL your PRAYERS and THOUGHTS!! I know that GOD listens!! I will need some help from ya'll to find out what all is going on at the BEE and where I need to dive in!! It's so bad, I had to buy adhesive today because I had none... Im gearing up, and Im ready to BE A BOOYA!!!! SO THANK YOU THANK YOU for EVERYTHING!! I dont know what Id do if I didnt have ya'll to come BACK TO!! I love ya'll!! Tell me what you need, and Id love to help!! HUGS to everyone!!

Strep Throat 2 Weeks in a Row.....

Last week it was McKenah, and this morning it's Teagen... burning up with over a hundred degrees in fever... I feel so bad, I hate feeling helpless.. Thank God for Motrin!! Its the only thing that will reduce my children's fever.. the ONLY thing....
For those of you who have been trying to keep in touch with what all is going on, Ive been have ing health issues that hopefully will be resolved this coming tuesday Oct. 30th. I go to see a nuerologist to discuss, the severe migraines and insane sypmtoms Ive been having along with them.. Dont give up on me, I plan on coming back full force as soon as I get some help with all this that is going on... if anything pray that all will be well and back to normal by next weekend.. I may just need some medicence and be back to my good ol' self! That would be a blessing because after a month of not knowing, and unanswered questions... Im sure ready!!
Thanks for reading... Hopefully, Teagen will feel better this afternoon, the Dr. will call some meds in since we were just there last week.....

Well, he did put on a good show at our local fair ( Permian Basin Fair) but sad to find out that most of the people of there were frauds! It kinda ruined it for me and Joe both when we found out... We even won free tickets, and I told my hubby to pawn them off at work... It wouldve been fun had it been true.... I dunno?? Why do people do that anyway? Just to make a buck?? I mean if you have true talent , then why lie and decieve? Sorry, Im ranting and raving... just burns my bootie!!! Oh Tucker, our new Rotten baby boy!! He is full of as my mom would "piss and vinager"!! LOL!!

OMg, I took Teagen and Jacob to get their eye exams never dreaming we'd need glasses for Teagen... but he has stigmatisms on both eyes and slightly far sighted... anyhow, he will need these for reading and school work daily... no exceptions Dr. Neely said.. so we'll have to talk to our teacher and let her know we have to wear these..... Not going to go into any details, but Im in a situation, with a deal I made that went wrong. Im hoping and praying God helps both parties through this, and to make the "right" decisions towards one another. Feelings have been greatly hurt, on both sides of this situation, but on my part that was never the intention. Im praying steadfastly everyday throughout the day, that things go well, and this is put behind us both... I really am saddened that such an incident could occur.... Thank you, for listening... when you pray, pray that both people make it through, without hard feelings, or being "wronged" in ANY form possible... Pray that the misunderstanding, is resolved and that these people can forgive one another and move on. I believe with all my heart this is what GOD would want, and I will only do His "will". Thank you...

BUT when we saw this baby's face.... we knew instantly he was the ONE... Meet "Trooper". My 15 yr old son named him, we all picked 2 names a piece a TROOPER came out on top!!!

Geesh, I shouldnt even be posting , I feel like Im about to CRASH tonight... or this morning should I say? Took my 4 kiddos , plus my 2 nieces swimming for about 4 hours or so, and then came home took them to the park so DH and I could walk our 2 miles... Im DEADER than a doornail! I feel totally zapped tonight!! I think I may need some wheaties LOLOLOLOL! No but seriously, what a fun filled day and the weekend will be no different! 2 parties, one a birthday one a 50th anniversary... and My Brother's are racing their cars Friday night! Oh, and My oldest Brother just won 1st PLACE in the car show July 4th! Best of SHOW as well!! Amazing!!

TODAY celebrate your freedom! Really think about it... We wouldnt be here , if it werent for our troops who always defend our freedom! Thank God for them....

Today we are setting out to a family swimming/bar-b-que. We are going to meet my 2 brothers, and their wives, and my nieces and nephew, my kids are so excited that they came in asking if it was time to leave early this morning!! We plan on cooking hotdogs, with all the trimming, my sis-n-law is making the fabulous FLAG cake with strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream!! And the kids and all us adults will play in the pool all day! Then we're coming home to POP POP POP Fireworks! YAY! Fun! Here's my favorite photos from last year!! This is my oldest son with my youngest, helping him with a sparkler.... I love it! HAPPY 4TH YA'LL!!!

1. I hate Feet! So much that I make myself get a pedicure so I can stand to look at them!!

2. I brush my teeth up to 5 times daily... ( weirdo but bad breath is a MAJOR peeve)

3. I owned a quater horse all through JR high and Part of high school, I was a Kicker ....

4. I have Fibromyalgia, but I dont let it disrupt my life, and I try to rarely complain... no matter how bad the pains...

5.I have INSOMINIA I cannot sleep, without help.. if I dont take my medication, I will stay up as long as 20 hours. And even then I toss and turn.

6.Im a chicken, when it comes to HORROR films, I can start one, but almost always you will catch me covering my eyes or shutting them, and then I really cant sleep!!! LOLOL

7.I love being surprised on a whim with any kind of flowers, any.... doesnt have to be fancy high dollar Roses, colorful carnations will do anytime.... NO FAKES no plastic bouquets...

Tonight was literally a blast! What fun it is when you have kids to take places and just to bring a smile to their faces! My kids were surprised to find out we were going to the Drive Inn Movies!

They love it, and we do too! Frankly it's cheap entertainment! Woo-Hoo!! So tonight was Evan Almighty and Surf's Up.. Both get a thumbs up from us... Evan Almighty actually turned out better than I thought... Ive heard it was not so good, but for a family movie ( which are rare these days) it was a good one. It did not mock GOD, which I was so afraid of... Surf's Up, well it wasnt near as good as Happy feet, but it was cute, but short and sweet.... All in all we had a great time, and you know me... Im not going anywhere without my camera!~

CROCK POT PEPPER JACK CHICKEN!

Deliciouso!! As Diego or Dora would say! LOL! Today I cooked ( or actually my crock pot cooked) an awesome soup! You've got to try this, with a tortilla on the side!!

PEPPER JACK CHICKEN!

4-6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
2- cans of Campbells Pepper Jack Cheese Soup
2-3 Bell Peppers cut into strips

Mix all this in the crock pot, cook on low 6 hours and VIOLA! Dinner is served! Awesome, the taste is amazing , melts in your mouth!! Hope you give it a try......

Late Night Scrapping...

Last night I couldnt sleep, so by 3am, this is what I had created.... We had spent the day at the swimming pool, tons of sunshine, so I think I may have been re-charged...LOL Anyhow, I have throughly enjoyed working with the Boys Gone Wild printed papers from Reminisce. Awesome Company, wouldnt mind working for them , at all!! In fact we've been discussing this at Busy Bee, some of the ladies I work with , do have positions with Manufactuer's. How fun would that be? A good friend of mine, Lynnise Bowman, said I should have done this last year, but sometimes, things like this are a bit scarey.... Anyhow, now I'd love too! Just have to submit, submit, submit!! Off, to do laundry, make kids a snack, do some household chores, and then hopefully DH will be home... Birthday party tomorrow for my niece Taylor... She's a lil' spit-fire... We love her! Doesnt it just break your heart? It does, it kills me.... I hate doing this, but today... Teagen decided to travel to our next door neighbor's house ( thankfully it's my Mom's house). But still, he's only 4, and I cant turn my head that he cant be gone in 5 seconds... He's been whining all day to go see Granny, and ride his *new* bike... It's like 100 degrees outside, and a little humid, so I said later Bubba.. not right now.. So, I go to the bathroom, and as a mom of 4 as some of you know, it's not leisure time like our DH's LOLOL! I get out, holler Teagen... Teagen..... Teagen... Im thinking, he was just playing right here... OH uh-uh! That little turkey took that 5 seconds to escape! He's no dummy, he knows how to unlock the front door... I know bad... So, Im frantic.. my heart races a bit, I go outside, no Teagen on the swingset, not on the trampoline, and there sits his new bike... OMG, Im screaming TEAGEN!!! TEAGEN!!!! Finally what felt like an hour ( only seconds later) "What Mommy?" "here I am" " I went to see Granny". I couldve died. This is the 2nd time he did this, and the 1st time, I gave him a stern talking to, and timeout. Well, not today. I spatted him, and then made him get in timeout.. He wouldnt look at me at all at 1st... Then he came around. I explained to him , how much Mommy and Daddy love him and how a stranger could steal him... I hugged him, kissed him and he cried somemore.. He said he loved me, and wont do that again... It's all part of growing up, but when it's your baby, your last baby at home... Today was not just Mother's Day, it was just amazing all the way around! Although my hubby was called out to work, he made it back by noon... we relaxed made breakfast (late) and watched a movie, then we all got showered and dressed, headed to my Mom's, gave her "Lantana" which is a flower, that lives very well in west texas dry heat... She was happy, and that made me happy! Plus, you know I just hate it, when you fail to say I love you, just on holidays.... so it was nice to hear that and get a BIG hug! We all loaded up, and met at Logan's Roadhouse for dinner, there were over 30 of us! It was absolutely amazing! I just love this kind of stuff, and although some might say "utter chaos", I just grin and say "it's life". My 80 year Grandmother, whom I adore, well... we ALL adore... we even fight for her attention..LOL

My Mom, my Dad, Wayne, my brothers, their wives and even Billie who is my sis n laws mom, all the way down from Canada...! My aunts, uncles, their kids! It was just awesome... did I say that already? LOL! Laughing, hugging, crying, laughing more... just acting crazy! I love this FAMILY.... And tonight, God once again, made me realize how extremely blessed I am....

And to end this amazing day........A TOTAL FOOT MASSAGE! You rock baby! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! Here we are in all our CRAZINESS!

OK, so I posted telling you all about how we had major storms last week, rotating clouds spotted, hail size of hens eggs, yadda-yadda... BUT I never got a chance to show you, the rain water that basically drowned my yard front and back... and then did it again, just yesterday.!

Oh, and listen to my LAME BRAIN ( I should've been a blonde) IDEA! Duh! Well, it's flooded yesterday again, front and back it rained from 4 am yesterday till 4 pm... and I mean we have a crappy piece of land floods everytime! So, I tell Ashlynne, who happens to be home sick, Im got this bright idea to "tie"plastic baggies from HEB on my feet to protect my shoes and socks... WRONG.........Oh my gosh, Im screaming Ashlynne, help, help, in the process the bags are literally "filling and HOLDING water exact opposite of what I wanted right!!!??? So I bend over to try and tie them tighter, and PLOP there goes the keys to the "RENTAL" car cause ours is in the SHOP again! and they sink! So Im fishing through nasty rain water for a setof keys that has remote doors locks etc... and praying to God it didnt just short that out... and my dd is laughing... So I RUN, and I dont stop, almost breaking my neck to get to the car!

Well, we had storms all morning and afternoon.... and I decided to pass the time scrapping a page... in between dropping Teagen off to Mother's Day Out , picking him back up, dropping the car off to be serviced, going back to get a rental, coming back home to spend almost 2 hours at my Mom's ( cause of the storm) and then yet again leaving to go pick up my other kiddos... TA-DA! Im done!! Im trying to use my STASH up, and I know it's older stuff, but it is still good paper... This scrapbook industry is sooooooooooo fast paced, I dont think I can ever keep up! LOL Thanks for Looking, yet again!

Yep, you're so right! When you have 4 kiddos, and three in the same photo, what's a Mommy to do??? Well, of course you scrap all 3 a layout for them to cherish... and although the photo is the same, each layout is unique in it's own way... I finished all my Busy Bee DT work, but I cant post till Monday the 7th... I can say I used the most fun paper Ive worked with in a very LONG time! Dream Street Papers! Awesome! I would so love to design for them!! Or any Manufactuer!! I just love what I do, it's so relaxing and fun! Well.. here they are, and Im off to register for Cheerleading, and then both girls have artwork chosen to displayed at the local gallery. Im so very proud! *only have 2 uploaded so far..need to take a pic of the other*

Church was very touching today... And a big reminder and "alarm bells" going off inside.. Sunday school.. ( Jason H.) our amazing leader ... taught out of Isiah, and explained how back in the OT how anguished they would get , when something significant would happen... Heaping ASHES ( from fire) and DUST (dirt) on their heads and ripping their clothing.. This was their way, of saying Im unworthy... Anyhow, anytime Jason teaches , I get tons of info that I myself would never of had a clue about.. Church sermon this morning taught by Matthew ( singles leader) was awesome too! 2 Corithians ch 3 v 1-17. DEEP stuff there... VERY DEEP! And like I said an eye opener yet again. Each and every week... the day to day struggles and life in general, always feel like they are crashing down on us, and then we attend and it's almost like a weight or a burden has been lifted. Throw away the old and put on the NEW and I am so grateful to GOD above to be able to do this, to be able to have forgivness, because none of us are perfect nor will we ever be... Thank God we had Jesus, who took our place and gave us this freedom... Thank God.. Moving forward...

This week, will probably be hectic as we have our dd's dance recital. Work so hard all year and I cannot wait! Both girls are in TAP, JAZZ, BALLET!! So excited three dances a piece... FUN!
Then SCRAPBOOK DISCOVERY DAY at MICHAEL'S on APRIL 28TH 1-5pm and 3 FREE MAKE AND TAKES... Yet again, Im grateful.. Mary my event coordinator is working 1-3 for me so I can be at my girls recital... THANKS MARY!!!

Hmmm... What else, oh really QUICKLY we watched FREEDOM WRITERS amazing amazing MOVIE , totally a MUST SEE! Hilary SWANK is FABULOUS! Oh and yes... I cried.... The commentary was great too..... OK, off to relax a bit and maybe , just maybe scrap some....

OK, so Im taking the plunge... I dont think Im top of the line or top of the mill, however you say that, but seriously the way I see it , there are no rules in scrapbooking... Yes, it can be very trendy, and set the styles for that month, but if you dont like it, dont do it... I personally scrap for preserving my life happenings of me and my family... I dont scrap EVERY single photo nor do I think that needs to be done... I mean when you consider I may take 200+ photos in a week of snapshots.. etc... can YOU IMAGINE? LOLOL No way Jose'! So... it's a NO RULES thing for me... I met a lady just this week, who said her sister doesnt use any embellishments! Mainly paper and cardstock.. that's it... and she's been scrapping a while.. Well, she found her niche, or style and she stuck with it.. I like to try new things, I like to be inspired and inspire! Thats me and my style... No NOT every layout is always going to be my favorite layout.... but still they are all unique and mean something different... SO Here's the SCAREY THOUGHT! Im going to try out for MAKING MEMORIES MASTERS 2008! Eccck GADS! And if I dont make it that doesnt mean anything.... I just wasnt right for the job... Thats all.. doesnt mean my work isnt good, because everyone is different and we all have our ways... SO WISH ME LUCK!

Gosh it's been OVER a month since I LAST posted! Shame on me! Well, lots has happened! I got a call from Kim Moreno and Heather ( owner of Busy Bee) and Im OFFICIALLY a BOOYA GIRL! OK, and you gotta hear how this happened... Im gone running errands, and such. The phone rings Jacob gets it, "Is your Mom there?" Uh, no... etc... OK we'll call back.. 2nd Time "Is Amanda there?" No , she 's not , this is her hubby, and then they tell him, well, this is Kim and Heather over at Busy Bee Scrapbooking, and we have a surprise for your wife... She's going to be a BOOYA girl! So, Im driving home, from Wolly World no less, and the lines were insane..( i try not to go there) and He calls, says I have a "surprise" for you at around 8 o'clock... I said "What?" Just tell me.... He says "Nope" "You'll See"... So, between now and then, I lost concentration, and went about unloading groceries, etc... doing household stuff.. and the phone rings. I look at the Caller Id thiking, "who is this?" not local... Joe says pick up the phone "It's for you"... Im thinking, ok??? So, I pick up, and a woman says "Is this AManda?" I say yes....

SHe says this is Kim Moreno... I thought I'd die! OMG!! It's Kim, from Busy Bee and not only is it Kim, Heather the owner is on the line too! And they hit me with the NEWS! IM A BOOYA GIRL!! They made my day, my week, my month! This couldnt have happned at a better time!~

My DT reign had ended at Scrapbook Obsessions... just prior , so I was THRILLED! Let me tell ya', scrapbooking is a passion for me, it's not just a whim, not just a hobby... I truely love to design pages around our lives.. Im so glad to be a BOOYA girl! I actually got 4 layouts completed this weekend.... One each of both dd's, one of myself ( unbelieveable) and one of my step-dad and ds. I used various papers; Around the Block; MME Bohemia, Chatterbox and Karen Foster. We bar-b-ques this weekend, pork-chops, sausage, baked potatoes, Aparagus ( my fav) and Iced Tea... It was Delicious! Went to church this morning, and even though it's not a commandment, we've decided as a church to each give up something for lenton and fast. DH and I decided to give up "sugar" completely. Which we should do anyway, but hey what can I say? My kids have all decided to give up "ANY" and "ALL" TV for 40 days! Im so proud of them! They truely listened this morning, about becoming closer to God. It was an amazing service... ( as always) I dont know about ya'll but church is such a GREAT refresher for me, and pick me up if you will. Just to re-charge yourself to go back out into this corrupted world. So greatful to have this FREEDOM! Anyways, SPRING FORWARD this weekend!! YIKES! So soon... TIME FLIES! I am expecting 2 layouts back this month from Scrapbook Trends... IM SO EXCITED! I keep submitting, although hadnt had any call backs yet.... Im not giving up..LOL! TTFN!

He's Not a Baby Anymore...

Well, it's sad to say our kids do grow up, and sometimes it is just so hard to let go.... After being a SAHM now for 11 years, I think to myself, what am I going to do? The thought is like fingernails scratching a chalkboard in my mind. The thought of my baby going to school is , almost a devestating feeling, for "me". My Mother, thinks Im insane, "You'll be free to do whatever, whenever" I guess, Im just thinking I can only do so much "whatever, whenever stuff" and then what? Clean house everyday? ( Yes, that would be my Mother's answer, LOL)

Oh................. To be able to hold on to a "moment" in time. Thats why scrapbooking means so much to me.... Im holding on as tight as I can to these memories... Thanks for looking....

SSSS Week #3 Here's my entry

Well, this week, we were supposed to use Vellum, Decorative Edge Scissors, and A Silk Flower.

I was so runningout of time with this one, but I think I made it... I didnt get to submit it with my journaling strips because I just ran out of time. But here it is, and to be honest, I only spent a matter of 15-20 minutes. It's simple and fast. DH was shocked, I started when he got in the shower and was finished when he got out. I know I have never "slapped" a layout together this quick, literally. Im more of a 1-2 hours gal, depending on the size etc.. Anyhow, we spent the day at the park yesterday, and then at the hospital seeing my Aunt Kim who is ( quadriplegic). She is in getting meds run through with IV. And my cousin, had her 1st baby girl! Faith Ann! I will post pics as soon as I download them. She is just beautiful! Makes you want one for about half a second...LOL! Anyway, I need to finish up my swaps, I need 3-12 x 12's completed. So Im fixing to work on that. I cannot believe February is already almost over!! WoW~! Time is flying!
