He's Not a Baby Anymore...

Well, it's sad to say our kids do grow up, and sometimes it is just so hard to let go.... After being a SAHM now for 11 years, I think to myself, what am I going to do? The thought is like fingernails scratching a chalkboard in my mind. The thought of my baby going to school is , almost a devestating feeling, for "me". My Mother, thinks Im insane, "You'll be free to do whatever, whenever" I guess, Im just thinking I can only do so much "whatever, whenever stuff" and then what? Clean house everyday? ( Yes, that would be my Mother's answer, LOL)

Oh................. To be able to hold on to a "moment" in time. Thats why scrapbooking means so much to me.... Im holding on as tight as I can to these memories... Thanks for looking....

SSSS Week #3 Here's my entry

Well, this week, we were supposed to use Vellum, Decorative Edge Scissors, and A Silk Flower.

I was so runningout of time with this one, but I think I made it... I didnt get to submit it with my journaling strips because I just ran out of time. But here it is, and to be honest, I only spent a matter of 15-20 minutes. It's simple and fast. DH was shocked, I started when he got in the shower and was finished when he got out. I know I have never "slapped" a layout together this quick, literally. Im more of a 1-2 hours gal, depending on the size etc.. Anyhow, we spent the day at the park yesterday, and then at the hospital seeing my Aunt Kim who is ( quadriplegic). She is in getting meds run through with IV. And my cousin, had her 1st baby girl! Faith Ann! I will post pics as soon as I download them. She is just beautiful! Makes you want one for about half a second...LOL! Anyway, I need to finish up my swaps, I need 3-12 x 12's completed. So Im fixing to work on that. I cannot believe February is already almost over!! WoW~! Time is flying!

I WON I WON!

I cannot believe it! I won! The SSSS challenge! Thank you so much ladies! Woo-Hoo! And to my surprise , I get a "surprise" literally in the mail! Im so excited, I rarely win any kind of contests! LOL! I have to get my next sent in ASAP! It's due Feb 25th YIKES! Plus Im in the swaps at Scrappin-Fun... This is a "hoppin'" place to be! Second Entry for SSSS

Thankfully Jill granted us an extension, otherwise I would have missed doing this layout challenge. This is Ashlynne, last summer at the water park. We had so much fun going. This was one of her favorite things to do, hopping across Lily Pads. Our challenge was to use EYELETS, METAL LETTERS, and A PHRASE or WORD STICKER. The paper I used is American Crafts. I love their lines... Thanks for looking!

"Just ME" A late night layout

Well, here is my latest.... It's a late night layout, using American Crafts Play Line. I really like their papers! Anyhow, this is only the 2nd layout I have ever completed about myself. I submitted it to ST, now just have to "wait" and "see". Cross my fingers and hope to get "picked up". I like how this turned out, not to "busy" but not too "plain".

Self Induced- Self Portrait Session

Okay, so if I dont take my photos, who will? Not my DH, he rarely grabs the Rebel.... It's usually good ol' Mommy, always the photographer, never the photographie... Did that even make sense? Well, you have to laugh, just a tad, because you can tell I had fun while doing this... My youngest one, Teagen laughed the entire time, "Mommy you SO funny!!" giggle, giggle! What can I say? Im a crazy ZANY girl, and yeah, one will probably be scrapped! LOLOLOLOL!

Scrapbook Trends CALLS

Well, I decided to scrap a Patriotic Layout, ST is having a call for them for July. I really like this, but the colors are way off! I have had this pic since last year, and it's my fav of all I took. My oldest son helping my youngest with a sparkler. Teagen loved the 4th this last year! I want to do more this coming year, we missed the parade and that was a bummer. DOnt know if I'll get choosen, but Im happy all the same. Scrapbooking is such a "joy" for me. A release at times, and it's an awesome hobby to have! Thanks for looking! TTFN!
