CHURCH was so good...

Church was very touching today... And a big reminder and "alarm bells" going off inside.. Sunday school.. ( Jason H.) our amazing leader ... taught out of Isiah, and explained how back in the OT how anguished they would get , when something significant would happen... Heaping ASHES ( from fire) and DUST (dirt) on their heads and ripping their clothing.. This was their way, of saying Im unworthy... Anyhow, anytime Jason teaches , I get tons of info that I myself would never of had a clue about.. Church sermon this morning taught by Matthew ( singles leader) was awesome too! 2 Corithians ch 3 v 1-17. DEEP stuff there... VERY DEEP! And like I said an eye opener yet again. Each and every week... the day to day struggles and life in general, always feel like they are crashing down on us, and then we attend and it's almost like a weight or a burden has been lifted. Throw away the old and put on the NEW and I am so grateful to GOD above to be able to do this, to be able to have forgivness, because none of us are perfect nor will we ever be... Thank God we had Jesus, who took our place and gave us this freedom... Thank God.. Moving forward...

This week, will probably be hectic as we have our dd's dance recital. Work so hard all year and I cannot wait! Both girls are in TAP, JAZZ, BALLET!! So excited three dances a piece... FUN!
Then SCRAPBOOK DISCOVERY DAY at MICHAEL'S on APRIL 28TH 1-5pm and 3 FREE MAKE AND TAKES... Yet again, Im grateful.. Mary my event coordinator is working 1-3 for me so I can be at my girls recital... THANKS MARY!!!

Hmmm... What else, oh really QUICKLY we watched FREEDOM WRITERS amazing amazing MOVIE , totally a MUST SEE! Hilary SWANK is FABULOUS! Oh and yes... I cried.... The commentary was great too..... OK, off to relax a bit and maybe , just maybe scrap some....

SWAP SWAP SWAP!!

Im in like 4 swaps right now, and one I have to make 40 LAYOUTS! Ekk GADS! Oh well, the more the merrier right? This is a group through Yahoo called Scrappin-Fun! The ladies are a close knit group and amazing SCRAPPERS! They are the swetest and Im so glad that I got invited!! Yeah, they know they ROCK! LOL Oh and JILL I could give her a BIG ol' hug cause she granted my wish and well... IM ONE HAPPY CAMPER thank you JILL!

OK, so Im taking the plunge... I dont think Im top of the line or top of the mill, however you say that, but seriously the way I see it , there are no rules in scrapbooking... Yes, it can be very trendy, and set the styles for that month, but if you dont like it, dont do it... I personally scrap for preserving my life happenings of me and my family... I dont scrap EVERY single photo nor do I think that needs to be done... I mean when you consider I may take 200+ photos in a week of snapshots.. etc... can YOU IMAGINE? LOLOL No way Jose'! So... it's a NO RULES thing for me... I met a lady just this week, who said her sister doesnt use any embellishments! Mainly paper and cardstock.. that's it... and she's been scrapping a while.. Well, she found her niche, or style and she stuck with it.. I like to try new things, I like to be inspired and inspire! Thats me and my style... No NOT every layout is always going to be my favorite layout.... but still they are all unique and mean something different... SO Here's the SCAREY THOUGHT! Im going to try out for MAKING MEMORIES MASTERS 2008! Eccck GADS! And if I dont make it that doesnt mean anything.... I just wasnt right for the job... Thats all.. doesnt mean my work isnt good, because everyone is different and we all have our ways... SO WISH ME LUCK!

IM A BOOYA GIRL!

Gosh it's been OVER a month since I LAST posted! Shame on me! Well, lots has happened! I got a call from Kim Moreno and Heather ( owner of Busy Bee) and Im OFFICIALLY a BOOYA GIRL! OK, and you gotta hear how this happened... Im gone running errands, and such. The phone rings Jacob gets it, "Is your Mom there?" Uh, no... etc... OK we'll call back.. 2nd Time "Is Amanda there?" No , she 's not , this is her hubby, and then they tell him, well, this is Kim and Heather over at Busy Bee Scrapbooking, and we have a surprise for your wife... She's going to be a BOOYA girl! So, Im driving home, from Wolly World no less, and the lines were insane..( i try not to go there) and He calls, says I have a "surprise" for you at around 8 o'clock... I said "What?" Just tell me.... He says "Nope" "You'll See"... So, between now and then, I lost concentration, and went about unloading groceries, etc... doing household stuff.. and the phone rings. I look at the Caller Id thiking, "who is this?" not local... Joe says pick up the phone "It's for you"... Im thinking, ok??? So, I pick up, and a woman says "Is this AManda?" I say yes....

SHe says this is Kim Moreno... I thought I'd die! OMG!! It's Kim, from Busy Bee and not only is it Kim, Heather the owner is on the line too! And they hit me with the NEWS! IM A BOOYA GIRL!! They made my day, my week, my month! This couldnt have happned at a better time!~

My DT reign had ended at Scrapbook Obsessions... just prior , so I was THRILLED! Let me tell ya', scrapbooking is a passion for me, it's not just a whim, not just a hobby... I truely love to design pages around our lives.. Im so glad to be a BOOYA girl!
