Survivor Round One ..... WILL I LIVE?

Ok, so I turned in my 1st Survivor layout tonight.... and I dont know if I will make it. This is my 1st time playing, but it was fun! Jill sent envies to everyone on the Scrappin Fun site that signed up. Ok, the items in the envie "have to" be used. No matter what. This envie, she said she was being "nice"... That scares me!! LOL Okay so she sent cream ribbon, cream twill, copper circles, copper squares, mini tags, and 4 Epoxy squares that were turquoise, purple, green , and ??? I dont know what the other color was???? Anyway, I thought all day I cant do this, I dug through paper for over an HOUR! I looked through photos till I was BLUE in the face! Then tonight, I sat there and realized the only way to SURVIVE was to IMPROVISE! So I did! I made the ELEMENTS work for ME! Not me work for THEM! And I think I did ok? It's kinda Artsy-Fartsy, and I dont always do work like this, BUT it was a blast! It really had me thinking "Outside" the box! I hope I can go the distance this seems like so much fun! Anyways, here is my layout! Hope you like it! TTFN!

Well, Im finished with my layouts and article for February's Newsletter.

I finished one last layout this evening, and my photography article. I could easily get 3 more layouts completed with this paper, and probably will this weekend. I have some of my oldest daughters b-day photos from last year. This paper is so versitile! Great colors, very vibrant. Joe is out of town till Friday, I always hate this. I know, I know I shoudnt say hate, but it is not the easiest thing to take care of 4 kiddos alone, and not only that I dont have anyone at night to watch TV with.... We have some many shows that we both love and record on Tivo. We always catch up at night when the kids are in bed, and its nice to sit down , relax and laugh a bit. I miss him when he's gone, and I worry. Im such a "worry wart" as they say. So scared to not have all my little chickens in my nest. He called tonight and it's raining cats and dogs, so I know his cold will probably come back worse. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and if that didnt "stink", our TV in our living room went out. The picture looks like one of those "funny mirrors" at a carnival!!! Im so sick, because our warranty , yep you guessed it's out! So..... last time this happened and yes it happened twice now, we were quoted $1100.00 for repairs! Well, not this time, we will see but if it's near that well just junk it! I dont recomend Samsung! Oh, and this morning was so much fun! I called my BF at 5:30am this morning! I said it's snowing! But alas school was still in session, so we hurried up got ready and took the kids for donuts and milk. They LOVED it! I think we may try and do this once every couple months. It was a nice change to the ordinary morning routine we have all year long during school. Oh, yeah baby I was bad Christy and I both were, we had BIG OL HUGE CINNAMON ROLLS! Yummy! Now, you know that went straight to my BUTT! LOLOLOL! Well, Im headed to bed, but here is a quick photo of the kids picking out donuts! TTFN!

We Have some Great Challenges At Scrappin-Fun!

This Challenge belongs to our SSSS ( Scrap that Stash Survivor Style) Very cool, huh? So our 1st assignment was to use the following: Purple Cardstock; Fiber; and Bookplate. I had to cut my own "bookplate" using the Wishblade, had everything else. So much fun! So anyway here is the layout I completed. I used Junkitz teenager line, American Crafts Plastic flowers; Red fiber; and a red bookplate. I actually very happy at how this turned out, intially I was thinking ???

But it took on it's own look and I rolled with it! My daughter's eyes lit up when she saw this, and that's really what matters to me the MOST! Anyhow, I thank Jill because this is going to be so much fun! S/C I went to Michaels today, showed my work and my published work. Took a 30 minute personality test... that was different? Never have taken one before. Anyhow, she fazed it in, and we were waiting for results but I had to go my kiddos. I get home tonight to learn my hubby is gone for the next 4 days, so hopefully they wont call and say start this week. Im only signing up to help teach scrapbooking classes... Nothing else. Im a SAHM and I dont plan on changing that. My kids come first, always. Anyhow, time to finish packing DH up, and getting him to bed. It's late already after midnight here.... Nite- Nite

I Love SCRAPBOOKING!

Wow, it's such a relief, a way to let yourself "wind down" so to speak. I completed my layouts for the Scrappin Fun groups that Carrie is hosting ( thank you Carrie). And it was so much fun, coming up with layouts from sketches and using our stashes to get them done! Fun! So, tonight I completed my 5th layout for Scrapbook Obsessions using the Basic Grey Blush Line. If I havent said it enough, its GORGEOUS! Im kinda angry at myself, I thought I had purchased a frame to alter , and I cant find it anywhere! So, I am off to Hobby Lobby tomorrow to get one because Im dying to alter one with the paper I have left. Im thinking a gift to dear hubby for Valentine's day with the kids photo in it. Anyhow, I started skimming through magazines, and I am a Scrapbook Trends all the way! I dont know, but for me they just have so many layouts, mini-albums etc.. to offer where others dont. Plus they dont shower their magazine with advertisments. Dont get me wrong I like to see what's new, but not on every other page. Plus I love, love the size of their magazine! Now, if I can just save enough $$ moo-lah to get a subscription I'll be doing good! I think I am dropping off an aplicantion to Michael's tomorrow. I went by just killing time, and wanted to see if any new stuff was out. Not really, but something struck me odd when I looked at their monthly calendar for classes NO SCRAPBOOKING was anywhere!! I asked the manager why? She said well, we have "no one". She asked me if I scrapbooked, and Of course I said yes... Im unsure what all the details are, but I think it may be fun to give it a shot... Anyway Im headed to bed, so glad that the COLTS made it to the Superbowl! Way to go Payton! Finally starting to get over whatever this crud was... Coughing a bit less. Good night!~ TTFN~

Total Devestation!

Well, this just stinks and I feel so horribly bad for my oldest dd! She was supposed to have a small quaint party with a couple school friends and all the cousins. I was going to take them to see Beauty and the Beast at our local Playhouse. Well, the weather in TEXAS has been bad. We actually got snow Tuesday night this past week. You wouldnt believe the mad house in town, because everyone is so scared to get "snowed" in. BUT really people how much can you rely on a weather forcaster?? It just gets worse, I go to buy milk ( we were actually out) and NO MILK, unless you bought the $5.00 a gallon jugs! Heck no! So, I had to go TARGET for milk, which they had, but to my dissapointment, NO $1.00 Mailboxes! What a drag! So, anyways, Ashlynne is so excited, finally going to have a party and the PLAYHOUSE CANCELS!!!! Big bold letters in the newspaper!~ My best friend calls me and says "uhhhh, you dont want to hear this but, theplay is cancelled." I about died, so all night Ashlynne has been mopeing, sad, frustrsted and just mad. We call all around town everything is "booked" for parties, so I have to say ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN "B"! Now we will not have the b-day party till February 2nd! Yes, thats right the 2nd! Poor baby, I feel just awful!! Man, to make this just a tad worse, "ITS NOT SNOWING"!! Yeah, THANK YOU METEROLOGIST! You just made OUR day! Ok, done venting, hope everyone is having a good weekend , TTFN~

Well, it's official..... My DT reign will end soon..

Sorry, but tonight Im in a sad mood. I knew it was coming, sniff, sniff.... But JR ( Scrapbook Obsessions Owner) made the comment that I wasnt wanting to hear... My Design Team position is up starting this May... It's going to tough, because SO has become such a big part in my life, I feel so good designing for them, JR and Chantele feel like family to me..JR even knew I was worrying tonight over something. I will stay a member at SO for sure, but I will miss doing what I love, for them. Well, now when Teagen starts school this August, I'll be "home alone". And with no Design Team requirements, what clean house everyday of the week? Dont get me wrong, that's not the only reason I scrap, but it just felt good knowing I had a "deadline" and "Article" to write every month for them. I dont know, I guess I felt I had a "job", being a SAHM semetimes kind make you, think differently about yourself, and sometimes it can make you think, that you arent as important, because you dont make any money, and your day consists of laundry, vacuuming and snotty noses. I love being a SAHM, but I think sometimes, I get down on myself, KWIM? Another thing is, here lately I notice that more and more people are talking nagative about 1 photo layouts. I know it's just their opinions, but Im am one of those 1 photo layouts... So... Im thinking , I need to "practice" putting more photos on a layout. Oh, well Im a whiny hiney tonight, I dont want to lose my DT position, in a nutshell, but I know that all good things must come to an end, and yes they need more variety... But still.... there are some who keep a permanent place... Lucky Ducks! Okay enough of being a ball bag, LOL WE HAVE SNOW! Thats something to be happy about, because we hardly, rarely every get any!!! {snow} {snow} all night! TTFN!

Lazy Sunday Afternoon @ Home

Well, this has been a great weekend, as far as being all cozy at home. The weather here has been freezing cold, in fact I think this is our 1st actual freeze. The degrees is in the low 20's. The kids have been lazy, Joe and I have been lazy, but we've been sick too. It seems a tad better, but this bronchitis cough is lingering. Dr. has us on a high dose of guafenisin, and cough supressant. Still, if you've had this hankering cough, then Im sure you know it lingers for about 3 weeks. Anyhow, I've been scrapping with the new kit Scrapbook Obsessions sent me. It's GORGEOUS! February is Basic Grey Blush Line. Yummmmm! They also sent K-ology metal brads, BG Urban Border Rub-on's , BG {un} dressed Elements, BG Blush Mini Monograms, and more! This paper is so pretty, especially with Valentine's Day not to far away.... {sigh} I cant wait to post the layouts I've completed... Anyhow here's a smaple of the paper... Isnt it divine?

Oh, and I forgot to mention the kiddos are out of school tomorrow for Martin Luther King Jr Day. I think it is important that they learn why... So we will probably discuss this in the morning. TTFN!

Well, I finally changed BLOGS thank goodness!

Well, Im still newat all this BLOG stuff, but smart enough to know that it is absolutely ridiculous all the anoyomous posts I was recieving at Scrapblog.com. Hopefully I wont have any problems here, I have my friends at Scrappin_Fun who told me to join here!! So off to start Bloggin' Baby!
